Courses - A Fierce Green Ride
Official Version: “A Fierce Green Ride” Route GPX
This is the official competitive version. Riders must stick to the entire route to count as a “Finisher.” Riders who deviate from the route for resupplies, camping, lodging, water, sight-seeing, or a wrong turn must return to the exact spot where they left the course to continue on.
More route details including resupplies, water, parking, camping, lodging, environmental conditions, route description, and more can be found on the El Lobo Lupus page here.
Greer Lakes Loop Version: Partial Route GPX
Riders who want to join in on the Grand Depart but don’t have time for the entire ride can opt for the smaller Greer Lakes Loop. The Greer Lakes Loop version still starts and ends in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona but does a single loop out to Greer and back. This version is perfect for new bikepackers, those seeking an overnight/weekend event, or those with restricted timelines. This can be ridden as Fast and Far or Party Pace. Riders who deviate from the route for resupplies, camping, lodging, water, sight-seeing, or a wrong turn must return to the exact spot where they left the course to continue on.
More route details including resupplies, water, parking, camping, lodging, environmental conditions, route description, and more can be found on the El Lobo Lupus page here.
Touring Version: Full “El Lobo Lupus” Route GPX
Riders who wish to complete A Fierce Green Ride at a noncompetitive touring pace are welcome to do so! They will still be required to complete the official version to count as a “Finisher,” but may opt to use the full El Lobo Lupus route below which includes side-hikes, sight-seeing, and more. The Touring Version GPX track is the expanded El Lobo Lupus route that still encompasses the entire official AFGR version. As long as you return to the exact spot where you left the course for resupplies, camping, lodging, water, sight-seeing, or a wrong turn, you will be counted as a “Finisher.”
